A little bit about Kelly...
Kelly Alves is a full-time faculty in the Behavioural Science Diploma Program at Seneca College. Her areas of teaching expertise are Research Design, and Behavioural Interventions for Skill Acquisition and Behaviour Reduction. Kelly has over 20 years community-based experience designing, supervising and assessing behavioural programs for individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorder and their families. Kelly is currently pursuing a doctoral degree in Education, Policy and Leadership and is a Board-Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA). She recently co-authored the textbook, ASD in the Canadian Context.
Her research interests include Parent Education; Staff Training and Curriculum Development.
How I can help...
Kelly provides clinical supervision to ABA programs through the Ontario Autism Program (OAP).
She meets all qualifications of a Clinical Supervisor through the OAP and has been practicing ABA in Ontario since 2000.
She has overseen ABA programs for children, youth and teens. (Aged 2-18).
In addition to clinical supervision, Kelly provides consultation (virtual or in-person) to caregivers and families helping them to incorporate ABA strategies into home, school, and community routines.
Kelly is also able to supervise Registered Behaviour Technicians (RBT).
